“One Act of Love Can Save Her Life.”

At just 27 years old, Gladwell should be building her dreams, pursuing her passions, and embracing the future with open arms. Instead, she is facing the relentless challenge of end-stage kidney failure. A battle no young woman should have to fight. From her hospital bed in Nairobi, Gladwell undergoes twice-weekly dialysis and takes essential pressure medications to keep her body stable. She’s preparing for a life-saving kidney transplant, but the journey there is long, costly, and exhausting.

Currently, Gladwell requires human albumin for two months, monthly pressure medications, and regular procedures to manage fluid build-up. Each of these treatments is vital to keeping her stable while she waits for her transplant clearance. Every month, Gladwell needs $195 to cover her medications, dialysis supplies, pre-transplant tests, and transport to the hospital. For many, it might seem like a modest amount, but for Gladwell, it’s the difference between holding on to hope and losing access to critical care. Even a $5 a day can help us reach her monthly goal. Small, consistent contributions can carry her through this fight.
